My opinion of TBDT and Goodbye Lullaby Era

Under My Skin, still have some style from LG and became more mature.

As I use a line to cut up TBDT and GL era, I think she tries so hard to be like a teen girl. Actually I dun like it much coz she's really over 21 years old during that 2 era. And her style although attract many children and teens but she is difficult to deal with adult fans.

Unfortunately, her music is very sincere and mature anyway, and her style just covered these gorgeous stuffs. I'm a bit dislike she tries so hard to be young. If she still keep it going till next cycle I would very disappointed ~

I think GL is one of her most mature albums .. I don't know why u think that she tries to be young. o:
I can understand why u think that about TBDT but GL? Besides WTH and Smile, it's pretty mature.
That's just what I think. xD

Edit: She's only 27. Is not that old. If she was 35+ I'd be worried. xD

I'd say that in TBDTera she looked more mature( in many occasions) than GL era!

I would say she looks very mature in GL, I understand what you mean with TBDT as I was so used to how she looked and dressed in LG and UMS and I thought it was quite a big change however the more I thought about it I realized everybody grows up and looking at myself the past couple of years my style has changed drastically so we cant be upset just by the way she has changed, she is still AVRIL LAVIGNE!

GL was she most mature album. Then I would say UMS is second mature. Don't get me wrong, I love TBDT. But she was a rebel pop princess, not a lawyer.

There's a difference you're not making between style/fashion and actual maturity. The fact that she's wearing Converse, skulls and teenage stuff doesn't prove anything. Her personality might be joyful and playful and happy, but why do you immediately call that immature or that she tries too hard to be a teenage? None of us can have a better proof to her actual thoughts on life (which is the actual maturity) than her songs, and the GL songs are indeed mature. (Taking out WTH and Smile, obviously.)

Yes and because Under My Skin was dark and angry it's clearly her BESTEST ALBUM EVER. Forget the shoddy lyrics and blatant filler songs.
