Epic not feeling avrils album?

Do you think this could be the case? I know L.A said he liked it or something but what about everyone else involved in the label. When was it, April? when Avril said the album was done, surely we should know something about it by now if all was well and good but with no word being spoken and a article saying she was still in the studio with nickel back after she confirmed it was done. What do you think is going on?

It is very possible that they don't see enough singles. I'm sure that is all they want from the new sessions.

Maybe.

BUT she met with LA Reid at the end of March and he heard the album. That was a few weeks before she anounced it was done. If they weren't happy with it I don't think she would have said it was done after LA Reid had heard it.

Maybe she's the one who wanted to go back briefly.

What makes me wonder is why is Avril is still working with David and Chad.

Maybe they both realize that the materials and style of David/Chad suits Avril much better, maybe its less poppy but at the same time very catchy ( and mature ), Like they see that they need more singles from David and Chad materials.

If Epic didn't feel her album, she wouldn't have worked with Chad and David again. She would have gone back to The Runners, or even another hitmaker collaborator to get those few hits (what L.A. Reid would only care about). I think the most probable thing is that Epic pushed the album back some months because they have other artists to promote and don't want to give Avril just half of their efforts and money or something. And then Avril could have decided to go back to studio to write some extra stuff to include on the album, as b-side or for a future album or EP. Who knows...

I think that she is actually recording for her 6th, yes, 6th studio album. My reasoning is that she definitely has enough material for 1 album, and probably enough for 2. Although... for some reason I feel like the 6th album will be a Greatest Hits album, she may be recording a few singles for that... similar as to what P!nk did with Greatest Hits....So Far!

I'm pretty much thinking it was Avril's idea of getting back into the studio - she was obviously still thinking and/or planning the new songs over her vacation after that tweet in April (known exhibit #01 - her and Marilyn Manson's collaboration) and I'm thinking the change of scenery helped her get some more ideas out. I know that she's mentioned in the past that she's constantly got ideas flowing, it makes more sense to me rather than Epic possibly feeling any indifference towards the new record and seeking some more progress.
Now whether it's just a matter of Avril wanting to record new songs freely by choice or wanting to come up with more possibilities for the singles, can't really say.

I don't think we'll really be hearing much from Avril or the label until after October.

May be Epic want to fully focus on Ciara's album atm. I know their music are different but we all know that Ciara and Avril are the only two big artists that Epic has....

I honestly think they were originally planning for a fall release, not knowing when other artists were releasing new albums. Once a whole plethora of artists announced albums for the fall, I think they changed their minds and are probably going for a late fall/winter release. Perhaps in the meanttime she just decided to write some more while she had the chance and felt inspired, maybe they are even planning for a quick 6th album in case this one flops. Or they could be extra tracks for a deluxe edition.
