Avril looked at him, as she gently but forcefully pushed away from him..
She didn't know what had happened,or what to do,but she began to tear up. She quickly wiped them,looked from deryck's face to the ground,and ran the opposite direction. deryck felt akward yet happy, but worried avril would get herself into trouble. He dropped all his things,and ran after her. he couldnt find her, but he heard a sweet vioce, but chocked with fear, and crying.
She hummed half of the first verse of her favorite song"iris".
"avril"deryck ran up to her out of breath"what was that all about?"
"i dont know, the kiss just....."deryck kissed her, making a sweet interruption..
"no,not the kiss...."he breathed heavily"i liked that"he grinned"im asking why did you run away from me,im not going to hurt you"
avril wanted to scream out so much at him... about his past relationships..about his mistakes,but she then realized,it was "past"and"mistakes"..so she held it in for now"i dont know,i guess...i was just out of words and i need time to myself"
"i thought i did something"
"no, if anyone did anything it would have been me,so..dont worry about it"she punched his arm
"ouch..why did you do that"
"back to our old selves now?"she laughed and walked away...
Deryck felt completly hurt,he felt as if she used him....
Why did she do that?He thought she wanted something with him, he couldn't get the words"back ot our oldselves"out of his mind.He felt like a one minute stand, then completly broken. Deep inside, this is how Avril felt,for a few years ago, she used to like him,and made it clear to him she liked him...
*flashback of 2 years ago*
"why do you guys hate eachother"shelby asked avril
"we were so close,but... we just grew apart"she looked down
"so apart you now think your"in"love with him?"she smiled

Avril saw deryck hanging out with her older brother, matt..she decided to walk up and tell him...
"ight man,pCe"matt tried sound cool
"later bro"deryck nodded his head..
matt and deryck seemed to have gotten along, while avril and deryck had not.
"hey deryck"avril tried sound ing ok
"yeah hi"he sounded snobby,but givin a chance to listen
"i heard in matt class that you liked me"she began to turn red
"WHAT??"he burst into laughter"LIKING YOU?!?!"he laughed so hard,he began to turn red"I dont know who told you that,but they mistakingly said you instead of a hot girl that'll actually do something with me"
avril began to cry"yeah, i just came over to tell you i....i..."
"you what,cry baby,you like me"
Avril's eyes widen,as derycks did too..
"no...wittle baby likes me??"he laughed out harder
she shoved him on the ground and ran to her tree to write and cry...
since then,it was always weird for her...they made eachothers lives a living hell for a while,now with it changing, she didn't know how to feel,if he was lying,or being honest

Still, the had to have that day over, tonight..!their moms,uggh did deryck so not want to go now..nor did avril want to be there..
deryck went to"avril's"tree, and felt hurt..
"is this what i made her feel like,2 years ago"he asked himself"im so stupid"he pounded his head into the tree back and forth..
he never knew this would happen,hes never felt this way...
avril on the other hand,was confused, so she began to play guitar and cry..
*LATER THAT EVENING* (THERE IS A BIT OF CURSING IN THIS DIALOUGE,OF A FAMILY FIGHT)
"mom i dont wanna go"deryck fussed out
"deryck,stop your fussing"his mom,michelle yelled back from his room
"IM NOT FUCKING GOING GOD DAMNIT"
"dont you dare get cross with me,im not putting up with this,your going and not another word"
"FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING WHORE!!!!!!!!!!"
michelle calmed herself"just come downstairs,deryck..i know this is hard,but..its not different than any other friday night"
"yeah,what you think"he mumbled
*even later in the evening,they arrived at the Lavigne's home*
"hi judy"michelee,derycks mother,greeted her with a hug..
"hi michelle, you look great"
"you do to"
"will you excuse me one moment"avril's mother walked towards the stairs
"Avril..Deryck and michelle are here"
avril was quiet..matt had to carry her downstairs..
avril tohught she was sneaking away, until deryck walked up to her
"umm..hey"he scratched his head,with tears in his eyes..
she looked down,realizing she knew she hurt him
