Also I'm not surprised the Canadian men's team tied Armenia.

I am of course excited for Euro 2012. I will be cheering for Russia since Bulgaria failed to make it yet again... going back to World cup qualifying, I really hope Uzbekistan makes it to Brazil. They were very close to making it in 2010 and I've seen them play and they're a fun team to watch. Finally, I wonder how long it will be till Bolivia makes another world cup.. they haven't been since 94 and ever since then they've finished last or second last.

Despite spending 13 years in Italy it took me a long time to embrace my Italian heritage since I always have had closer ties to my Canadian/British roots. Also during the 94 world cup I became a fan of the Bulgarian soccer team. A few months later I met Hristo Stoichkov in Toronto. Since that time I've developed a passion for Bulgaria as well as Slavic culture/sport in general.

Also I don't like Italy's playing style. Always really defensive and they whine a lot (like the Portuguese and Greeks) and embellish fouls committed against them.
