The weeks passed and it was a while since Deryck last ate. Cone and Steve brought him clothes and the doctors have submitted him to some tests. He was alright after the surgery they did in the other hospital. Avril’s family had been called and they had been in the hospital since then. They had been desperate. The doctors said there was no need to worry ‘cause she was improving and the baby was fine.

(Two weeks later)

Avril’s Point of View

I opened up my eyes slowly and I saw white. First I though I was in heaven but then noise reached my ears. I closed again my eyes.
‘Do you think she’ll be okay?’ I heard a familiar voice saying.
‘I don’t know.’ I heard another voice saying. This one I couldn’t recognize.
‘She’ll be better.’
Deryck. Deryck was in that room. I needed to see him.
‘Deryck!’ I screamed as I opened my eyes and I saw him standing there. There were another people in the room but my eyes only saw him.
‘Avril!’ He said putting his hand over his mouth. I could see he was shocked. ‘Are you alright?’ He asked walking to my bed and grabbing my hand and kissing it.
‘I’m fine and you? I was so worried about you!’ I said.
‘I’m great because you’re now here with me, awake and most important alive. You gave us a shock.’ He said pulling away so I saw the other people on the room.
There was my family, Cone and Steve. They all seemed really relieved.
‘Oh my god Avril! You’re crazy!’ My mom said running in my direction and hugging me.
‘My daughter.’ My father said hugging me too.
Michelle and Matt came and gather in the hug. After that Cone and Steve came and asked me if I was okay and both kissed my head. I looked at Deryck and he was getting jealous and interrupted us. He started telling me everything that happened while I was unconscious and then he asked pointing to my wrists ‘What was going on in your head when you decided to do that?’
‘I guess I can’t live without you.’ I said.
Deryck opened his mouth to talk but then a nurse came in and said ‘The visiting hour has finished. You’ll have to leave.’
My family and the guys said goodbye to me and the nurse took them to the exit door.
‘Goodbye my princess.’ He said kissing me.
‘Don’t go, please.’ I begged him.
‘You heard the nurse. I have to go.’

Deryck’s Point of View

I saw sadness on Avril’s eyes when I left the room. I don’t want to let her be sad after what she had done so I asked a nurse that was near me ‘When is the next visitin hour?’
‘I think is at 6 pm, sir.’ She said.
I looked at my watch. 5 pm.
'That gives me an hour to prepare a surprise to Avril.' I said to myself.
