What has Santa to do with Christmas?

As the title says what have they to do with each other. I mean with Christmas Jesus got born right? That didn't involved a tree, Rudolf and Santa

I didn't grow up with celebrating Christmas American style so someone please tell

erms.. Santa gives presents to kids that have stayed good
and rudolph is the reindeer with the shiny nose that leads the sleigh.

Well there's a story about St Nicolas (santa) and he used to go round his village on christmas and put a silver/gold coin in the "good girls and boy's" shoes. But if you were bad you got a lump of coal. It's something like that. And it grew into the total consumerism thing it is today.

However.... about Jesus being born on december 25th... nope thats just when we celebrate it

The tree represents life in the house, a living thing. and the lights on the tree represent the light Jesus brings, and tinsel represents a spiders web that conceled Mary and Joseph when they hid or something. uhm.... the decorations... just for fun i guess.

And OH the raindeers and the way santa is now, is just a Coca Cola invention

No one knows when he got born, i don't think it was recorded anywhere. Apparently Christmas is picked as his birthday because after the 25th december the days start getting brighter, so it's kind of showing when he was born he brought light into the world or something haha... i have no idea how i know all this!
