I'll post a pic later (I'm actually getting my hurr cut today!) but it's nice to be able to put names with faces (even if I only very lightly scanned the 306 pages!)

I was the top candidate for the GB junior olympic team last year but got turned down after I 'Didn't show enough improvement throughout the 3 month trial period'. (I was under 16 moving up into Juniors (Under 18)). I thought this was a little harsh since I had an operation preventing me from even riding a bike let alone training properly taking me out for 6 weeks in the middle of that 3 month training period. I came close to beating the junior world champion on 3 or 4 occasions at the GB trials (video below, I'm in green).
So the Olympics are definitely the long term target for me it's not looking great at the moment (I'm out with injuries for 12 months :/)

See out my injury period and try not to rush back into training like I did last time.Originally Posted by Elizayne To view the link you have to Register
They wouldn't give me an extended trial period so I was effectively forced into trying to train my way back into top form after an operation in 1 month which just isn't possible, that's why I picked up the injuries I have now (all tendon and ligament damage).
In the mean time I have to keep myself interested on here and hope it heals up quick!

Like it or not, even though she's a lot like me, we're not the same.

p.s what did you actually have done?

It was a hernia op, kind of embarrassing, don't google it, you will regret. Something that I couldn't help in any way and is actually way more common than you would expect.Originally Posted by Elizayne To view the link you have to Register
The Operation process isn't risky but the recovery time is quite long :/

I heard they are really painful right?Originally Posted by Opinionated Brit To view the link you have to Register

Not so bad when you have it but it can be life threatening if it gets 'restrained'.Originally Posted by Elizayne To view the link you have to Register
Post op recovery was very painful, I could hardly move for 3 weeks
