    Avril Lavigne's Fragrance "Black Star" is NOT Tested on Animals!

    Share to Facebook

    For a while now, rumours have been circulating that Avril Lavigne's new fragrance "Black Star" by Proctor & Gamble is tested on animals. This of course upset some of our animal-lovin' Bandaiders, but now thanks to the detective work of Bandaids Super Mod :.britt.: we can now officially confirm that "Black Star" is NOT tested on animals! Avril's always been a big supporter of animal rights - as we saw front and center from her role in Fast Food Nation - and she no doubt factored that into her decision to work with Proctor & Gamble on her fragrance. Don't you hate it when people jump to conclusions.

    So does this mean all those biotches that were saying otherwise can kiss our asses, since they were clearly speaking out ouf their own?

    Thanks for getting confirmation on this.

    honestly, either way i'd buy it. i mean a perfume tested on animals? It's just a scent. It wouldn't hurt them anyway.
    In regards to Black Star NOT being tested on animals, it may not be, however Procter and Gamble are probably the world biggest animal testers. They test a lot of products and cosmetics and have been very very controversial for this.

    Anyone who cares about animals should not buy Black Star as your money is still going to them and will be supporting animal testing, even if the product you buy has not been tested. Avril isn't as animal friendly as you may think, she has gone for the company that will make her the most money. If she cared about animals that much she would have chosen a company completely against animal testing!

    Reconsider buying it, it is disgusting that cosmetics and perfumes etc etc are tested on animals for our pleasure. So cruel.

    Thanks for reading guys.

    HEY you can be honest about it Cata, you know...Just tell them that you will not perform animal tests on their cats. You never said that your buddy will not perform them though...

    @Jimmyzz
    Biotches only sounds cool if you are Snoop Dogg. And even then it would be "byatches".

    Anyway, naming any names?

    If you're going to boycott Proctor & Gamble products you might as well be prepared to never buy anything again. They are as common as oxygen.

    I know but I manage it pretty easily myself, at least until they have finalised their efforts to abolish all animal testing. The point is, I can understand medicines being tested. And although this particular fragrance has not been tested, I just cannot justify handing money over for the sake of a perfume.

    I am not trying to start an argument or anything, but I was just saying this because some people in the forum seemed to genuinely care and if it had been tested on animals they wouldn't buy it. I was just letting them know that even though this product is not, their money would still go towards a corporation which practises animal testing , which might upset some of them if they knew. That is all. But I'm not trying to tell people what to do, it's each individuals own choice at the end of the day.

    I wasn't criticizing you. In fact, I think it's cool that you do that, because there is no need to test beauty products on animals. It's not like they're going to save lives or anything.
