I arrived at GM Place around 9am. There were already 4 people @ the floor gate. I talked to them pretty much all day. lol They were cool. So, we just pretty much sat there all day. A couple of times we went to get something to eat from the mall or to go to the bathroom. Around 3-ish she was coming back from Z95 (a radio station), so a couple of us went down to where the tour buses were and waited for her to come. There were about 20 people there, I'm guessing. Some guy was giving away these Avril posters, so we all grabbed one. Finally she came, she kind of hid her face a little (in the van). When she got out she started walking slowly toward us. I was thinking "oh my god!". The security guard was like, "Get in a line. If you're not in the line, you won't get anything signed!" So, she walked down the line and signed everyone's poster. She was so SMALL and SKINNY! my gosh!! She is so cute *melts* She didn't really talk to us except to say "Thank you" when this girl said "I love you". And she shook this little girls hand. Then she was gone inside. Soooo the coolest thing ever!! Then we ran back to out spots and sat there for 3 more hours. It got so cold out near 4-5ish. *shivers*
6:30 the doors FINALLY opened. Everyone from the back started pushing, which was really annoying. I ran to the table to get my wrist band. There were so many people, I just pushed my way up front and shoved my ticket in the guys face so he would give me a wrist band. Then I ran to the floor and got front row, just slightly off center. We waited what seemed like forever for the opening acts. Gob were loud and boring. lol. Swollen Members were even more annoying. The only thing that got me cheering during both of their performances was the mention of the Vancouver Canucks. lol
Around 9:15 Avril came on. *screams* hehe. Basically everyone knows how it went, right? Try To Shut Me Up appears on the black curtain, the curtain falls and she starts singing Sk8er Boi. She had so much engery last night and she sounded so good. She tripped at one point and started laughing. hehe. She went over to Evan quite a bit and they sang to each other a lot. lol Again, Matt wasn't wearing a shirt. Must say, he has a nice body. lol Avril was talking about how Vancouver was special because her & the guys stayed in a condo here to learn the album. Then Jesse said Vancouver is also special because she had her first concert here. *crowd goes wild* Jesse came over to my side quite a bit, but the spotlight was always in my eyes, so I couldn't get a good picture. Until near the end, he was making a funny face, so I took a picture. He smiled at me. Awww. lol. When Avril asked people for the 'crazy' people to come up for Complicated, she looked at me. *such a dork* I guess I wasn't crazy enough, though. She chose my friend, Rachel, to go up and some guy. I forget his name. lol That was cool. Um *thinks* what else...haha I can't remember. The night was just soooo amazing. Definetly one of the best concerts EVER!!
After the show I went to so if there was any merchandise left. They didn't have the shirt I wanted, so I got the hoodie and a poster. Then I went home. Again, the show was amazing, she sounded great and was just a lot of fun! I will definetly be seeing her again if she comes back to Vancouver.
