Before the Show
So Avril didn't come to our state, so we had to travel 10 hours by car. That was SOOO boring!!! So we leave home at 8am and get to Melbourne at about 6pm. We were really lost but finally found the hotel. We went straight from there to the Rod Laver and walked around. Sarah and I decided we wanted to talk to reception, but it was closed so we went backstage we saw them set up and the dressing rooms. But then after like 15 min the security guard "escorted" us out. Hehe.


So on Sunday, we got there at 6am. So nobody's there so we go back for hotel buffet brekkie thing. And come back at 7am. Still nobody is there and it is FREEZING and WET!!! It actually got totally colder during the say. And about 7:30 2 other girls showed up, with an AWESOME banner!!! Anyway, by 12pm only 10 people had showed up. And I was freezing and wet sooo cold. There was a TV crew there so we went on TV told them how obsessed we are.It was pissing with rain lucky I had a hood on, but none of us moved, we just sat hehe. :P About 4pm people started coming. SOOO many punk wannabes, it was funny. And there was this like 14 year old she totally looked like avril though that was pretty cool.


So the gates outside open at 5:30 all the gate people who work the turny things come out the building and we all scream and yell.. It was physco everybody was slamming the gates and stuff. We get thru, and I'm first thru in our gate. I run up the stars like 100 of them. Some security dude grabs me I push him off and I RUN. Sarah got the 1st GA wrist band I got 2nd. Then we sit for like 45 min at the door. I go and get a sweat band. $10 and then we hear them do sound check. The doors open at like 7:15 and we ran and got CENTRE FRONT ROW RIGHT IN FRONT OF AVRILS
MIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!! OMG I ALMOST DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!


GOB


These guys were cool. The lead singer. He wouldn't stop looking at me. I think its because I we like right in front of him, so every time he looked up I was there. I don't mind its just I never like looking people straight in the eyes. But it was great. Tonnes of people knew all GOB's songs. And then there was the Avril Tie thingy you guys all know about. And when they sang, Give Up The Grudge, they changed the words from better shut your mouth to Shut you fucking mouth after the crowd sang them lyrics from the beginning. They rocked. They gave out these Gob things, not sure what they are, but I got one.


*** BTW, NOBODY was pushing on me. These like 5 teeny boppers, hair in plait and glitter all over little slutty tank tops on. Think they would have been like maybe 15 or something but they were all small, they were behind me. So I had nobody pushing on me the whole time it was good. Until one of them tried to get to the front I elbowed in the face and she cried, blah blah blah. she pulled ONE strand of my hair, I turn around, she has a smile on her face so I elbow her in the face. What ever they were sooo annoying. I just let the girl in. She realised after a while I wasn't letting the others in and gave up. *** -- I got one of Jesse's Picks.. I think. Sarah said it was Jesses but it had Avril on it. Because she got a Evan on that had his name on it. --

AVRIL
The place was sold out and it holds 12588 people. So lots of people!!! Ok. So you know the deal. But Avril was already on stage and came out from the middle. And she had red top on and green ¾ cargoes. Did Sk8er Boi first, she didn't jump or anything, just rang across stage and stuff. When she did Mobile she asked everybody to clap, so we did. Complicated, she bought up a girl and guy, the girl had already gone to the private rooftop performance, she was ok. And the dude haha it was SOOO funny!!! He was singing and like he had such a squeaky voice, I was like crying, I could see matt cracking up it was funny as. She got everybody in the stands to stand up too. Yeah and the GOB dude came out in I (heart) Avril top. Gave Avril piggy back, like always, used his fake Austrian accent too.


Avril didn't look at me once, she looked up from me once. That's it. BUT. Jesse kept coming over and standing in between Evan and Avril and I kept screaming his name, and he like turned his guitar around and pointed at me and my friend and the girl next to Sarah haha, that was awesome!!!!!!Evan kept looking at me heaps, he smiled at me too, in Basketcase. And specially in Acoustic he did, haha OMG!And I swear to God, even though Matt was like a million years away from me, he was looking at me a few times because I could see his eyes, OMG. I was freaking out.Charlie just stayed over on the left though. I have like NO pix of him haha! So Avril asked the crowd to scream. First the GA. ***Which BTW was like 500 in the barricade and then the rest behind*** Then she asked the stands. FUCK! The scream was piercing!!! Avril turned to the guys and goes "This is a record". So she did I Don't Give, and its cool, because everybody in the crowd was singing "Ï don't give it up I don't give a damn" and heres me "Ï don't give a damn I don't give a SHIT" Evans looked straight over and smiled! I'm like YAY!


They were going on about Koala and Kangaroos, Jesse was asking if we had Kangaroos as pets and everybody's like, NO!!!. Haha And they went to some zoo and they weren't allowed to pat Koalas so she's like, we're on a mission to Sydney to pat a Koala bear. When they went off to do acoustic, everybody was screaming "AVRIL AVRIL AVRIL!!!" So in between the gaps I shout out "EVAN EVAN EVAN" Hehe. So they did tomorrow, and then they did like the half of Sweet Home Alabama and then stoped, laughed and gave each other high five. Then she got guitar taken away and sang Knockin On Heavens Door. She did Basketcase. It was cool though because like only half the people knew what the hell she was doing, and she goes "I'm gonna perform one of my favourite songs" and Sarah screams out BASKETCASE. haha and Avril looks at her. And then starts singing. It was awesome and Evan was looking at me heaps during this song. I was singing along and going really loud shouting the words. That was great!


It was a great show, I don't think Avril gave it her all though. But the guys where AWESOME!!! Didn't like even notice Charlie but oh well hehe :P As
you see in the After the show part. I'm so rude! Haha.But because I have so many shows on CD, her voice and stuff wasn't a surprise, they didn't do anything they hadn't done at previous show either. Just a REALLY SHITTY band before Gob.


AFTER THE CONCERT
So we go down to were we snuck in the night before. The place cleared out pretty fast. And the security dude, is like AVRILS GONE she went straight away. We totally did NOT believe him. So we waited there was about 15 waiting, then half went and there was us and 4 other girls waiting. The show finished at 10:20 and we waited till midnight, they FINIALLY come out. Evan Come out in a cap in a car, I didn't even scream or nothing, I knew it was him, he even looked over. Don't know why I didn't. Then like 20 minutes like Charlie and Matt come out into it. (I BTW am hanging of a fence like 10 metre off the ground) I start screaming. "MATT I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU MATT" yelling it like over and over,,, Poor Charlie haha!!! And then they drive off and they both wave out the car!!! How nice!!!


Then Avril and Jesse come out to another van. And I didn't even noticed Avril til the other girls pointed her out. She had like ugg boots on and a big jacket and I noticed Jesse. Sarah LOVES Jesse and started screaming out Jesse. Avril didn't even look, we didn't even scream out to her. WHOOPS!!! And then she looks thru the window and waves. I saw her look but not wave, that's what Sarah said though.Then we left.HAHAHA that was a massive thing!I got um a Jesse pick the security dude gave it to me. And I got one of those Blow up ball things them silver ones that have star and Avril on it. I had to fight for that shit tho!!!! But I got it. This girl got Avrils water bottle she drank out of and like ran off screaming! Haha that was funny! I dropped my camera but the security dude (the same one who gave me the pick) piked it up me for, how nice!!!

I was involved in this tour. I'm trying to remember this Melbourne but this show was kinda a blur...

I just think it was funny that even after Gob has played already, people still thought Theo posing as 'Dieter from Austria' was legitably picked from the crowd...
