Ok so I decide i should probably get there early cause i have floor tickets and i HAVE to get front row. So i take the day off from uni even though i have an assessment due, and like 7 hours of prac classes. Anyways i left home at 8.15am to catch a train to sydney and this took like 2hours so i got to the actual centre at about 10.15am. i went by myself by the way cause all my friends who like avril were coming to the one on tuesday (next day). So im looking around worrying that there is going to be this huge long line and im gonna be at the back. But i couldnt see anyone, so i get some maccas and sus everything out, like what entries there are and where she will be arriving in the car etc. After that i go to what i thought was my door and line up. There were a few more people there, a few hours pass, i make a few friends waiting in line, its about 1pm and i finally realise that i dont have a door 1 ticket like i thought (thats tuesday..) but a door 5 one. so basically i had been waiting at the wrong door!!! i go around to door 5 and there is only like one guy there so it was all good. I went around the side to see if avril had arrived yet and apparently she had gotton there at about 3.45pm. there were only 9 people waiting there and she wouldn't even sign anything, i thought that was a bit mean but hey.. So yeah i wait around for what feels like forever and more and more people start turning up. there were a couple of people from adelaide which is like a fair few hundred kilometres away, as well as a guy from canada (who knew avrils brother matt)!! At about 6pm there were heaps of people there and they were all lining up across the many doors. so i yell out to all of them "they're only opening this door so you should probably all form a line behind me". so everyone did hahahaha. at 6pm we got in the first doors, and 7pm the second. i sprinted and got smack bang in the middle 7.30pm the support bands started, space like alice (aussie) i thought were pretty shit but GOB went off!! i managed to get one of gabe's drumsticks too and then FINALLY after months and months of waiting i see avril IN THE FLESH for the very first time through the curtain. holy crap i almost killed the girl next to me. i was like "omg its avril, omg its avril, omg its avril" while pulling her arm and nearly ripping it off. before she acctually came out i could see her through the curtains and she was punching someones stomach and then lifts up her top at the back and is pointing something out to someone??? then she starts with sk8er boi and is jumping around like a psyco. The set list was:

so yeah she sang all the songs like usual, playing guitar for mobile, naked and tomorrow. when she was sitting on the stool for tomorrow she goes "i hate this stool, stupid fucking stool" or something like that hahaha. before too much to ask she told us the story about how it was about a guy that never called her etc etc and before basketcase she asked who were green day fans. then for complicated she picked theo and 2 girls out of the croud to sing, it was pretty funny. Her voice sounded awesome, much better than a lot of the live stuff i've heard. During anything but ordinary she came down to the middle part of the front row and touched all our hands and then when she sang KOHD she sat on the edge of the stage which was like 1.5 metres in front of me!!! i could see like the little bits of makeup on her face it was that close. holy shit.
so i took heaps of pics with my zoom camera. hopefully they will be put up?? see these to see what she was wearing. during the concert i managed to get an evan pic and a jesse pic and then afterwards a set list so i did pretty good. before i knew it the concert was over. I go around the back to wait for her to try and get an autograph. while waiting russell crowe and danielle come out and get in their bmw anyways after i wait like an hour and what happens?? she fucking sneaks out covered in a car!!! not happy jan. oh well. As much as i loved the concert i have to say that i was a little bit dissapointed as avril seemed to be unhappy. there were some technical problems with evans guitar but i think something else was bugging her. i dunno, pms?? evan seemed like he was whacked, off in lala land charlie was really quiet, jesse was going off and matt just sat at the drumkit, but with his shit off (mmmmmmm). towards the end of the concert she seemed to warm up a bit though. i wonder what was wrong?? maybe she was peeved that she didnt get to hold a koala at the zoo?
so yeah thats pretty much her first sydney concert

Nice one eagle-eye!!! Rusty Crowe and Danielle were definitely there and met our fave little Napanee pal. Gotta love Russell in a black leather jacket and silky track pants. LMAO. The Gobsters loved having "Maximus" in the house.

Her stool was crooked before her acoustic songs, so she discarded with the quote of "Fuck the stool!" as it was taken away. Next night, at Sydney show 2 she even apologised at the same moment in the set for swearing the night before hehehehe.
