Try To Shut Me Up Tour Review
Concert: Brisbane
Reviewer: kristy
Date: June 4th 2003
I had the pleasure of going to see the talented Avril Lavigne while she was in Australia, Brisbane. she started with her awesome rocking hit Sk8er Boi and had the whole crowd singing along with her catchy tune. the noise from the crowd was deafening, everyone was jumping and screaming for more, and that is exactley what she gave, pumping out song after song. including knocking on heavens door which she did as an encore, she finsihed with things i'll never say.
the grandstands felt like they were going to collapse when people started stamping there feet, and with the mexican wave.
avril put on a brilliant performance. i went with my friend who found out that i have a phobia of trains on the way back home, we couldn't sleep for hours, with our ears still ringing, our voices all scratchy from singing and screaming. it was the best night ever. we also found out that our avril is quite the clutz she banged herself on numerous occaions letting out a little OW every time she did it. she also spoke about the koala experience while she was on rove live. she got all the girls in the crowd agreeing with her when she said what too much too ask for was about, and let her little singing voice have a rest when the crowd took over while she was singing i'm with u. my friend and i arrived early to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre so we heard Avril, having a sound check she sang noboddys fool and tommorow. also the people that were selling avril merchandise must have thought we were freaks as we went back on three seperate occasions (how could you not after all its avril). we brought three avril shirts (we wear them with pride everywhere we go).
after her Brisbane performance we later heard that she and Jess took a trip to Noosa, my friend and i were extremely peed off, as it is only an hour from where we live.
