April 6th - Metrotown Mal

AHHHHHHHH! I was at the private concert! It was so awesome!
Okay. I didn't end up going to the mall concert because I wanted to get to the private thing early so I could get a good seat. I was there at 5:54pm (an hour early) and the only other people there were the winners from Toronto (3 girls who looked about 8 years old and their moms). About 10 minutes later a few other people showed up, but most people didn't arrive until about 6:15. Anyway, we hadn't been there that long and Avril's tour bus pulled up front. Eventually Evan came out and went into the building and waved to us, then he came back out again and back onto the tour bus in a few minutes. They finally let us in the main doors into a courtyard and we all got VIP passes. Then Evan came back in and took some pictures with a few people near the front of the line. Then Avril came in with her security (Joe's back, but she still has that other guy too) and she had the biggest smile on her face. They finally let us in at 8pm (and hour late) and they said the delay was because Avril and Evan had to eat (we saw them bringing in bags of Swiss Chalet and some Starbucks coffee) and because they had to do an interview. I got seats in the middle of the front row, but we we're allowed to take pictures as Kim mentioned. Her performance was so amazing. At the beging of Sk8er Boi she had to get Evan to play the note so she would know how to start, and during Don't Tell Me she wasn't allowed to say ass, so she squeezed in the word butt and the very last second, which got a laugh from the audience. I was mouthing along to the words and she kept looking at me and smiling. After the performance she did and awesome interview. At the end of the interview they asked if she would mind doing one more song. She obviously didn't want to (the only song from the mall setlist she hadn't sang was Complicated) so she started singing Hey Ya instead and she clapping and shaking and it was so cute. They made us all stay in the room until Avril and Evan had gotten a chance to get out of there. My cousin and I were some of the first people back down in the courtyard and Evan had just come back in so we got autographs and a picture with him. Then we went outside and waited by Avril's bus, and it wasn't that long before she came out and signed and took pictures, there were only six people (plus parents) waiting there. I met Kim and ailing, but I didn't realise for sure it was them until they said avrilbandaids when Avril was signing and I didn't get a chance to say hi. (I kinda thought it might be you guys but I was too shy to ask. I had avrilbandaids written on my arm, but it was too cold, so I had to put my jacket on.) It was a totally amazing experience.
