I arrived late at the arena as the fuckin trains are really shit on a sunday, so i had to get the bus down. Lol anyway, the doors open at 7.30 i arrived at about 8.15, i had already missed Simple Plan, but from what i heard Simple Plan, didnt put any effort into their performance. People didn't really care about Simple Plan, they were just all so over excited about Av's performance. Anyway, as i walked into the Arena, was the biggest venue i had ever been in, packed as fuck, everyone was just everywhere, all the seats were filled, the floor was filled, there was screamin, shoutin, and even fuckin mexican waves ffs! I started to make my way to the front. I got to my place and i saw the stage was filled with Av's Bonez Tour 2004 sheet. The atmosphere all around was incredible everyone was so excited, it was unbelievable, now all everyone had to do now, was to wait for the lights to shut out so the show could begin... Eventually as the lights went out, there was this huge roar from the crowd, there were people stampin there feet, bangin, shoutin, havin fits etc etc. Everyone jus heard this guitar and then i knew, the show was ready to begin. The sheet lighted up with av stould behind the sheet, she had a very clear silouette of herself playing the intro to He Wasn't, as soon as she got to the lyric "So what happened to my saturday?", the sheet fell, everone screamed. I'd say one of the best live versions of He Wasn't ive heard yet, also the stage setting was so much better then last years one... It had a centered red cross representing the Under My Skin album, with a lot of weird lights surrounding its peice. As He Wasn't finished, Av went straight into My Happy Ending, still playin guitar, and browsing around each corners of the stage. No mistakes were made during them two tracks, sounded perfect. As My Happy Ending finished, she gave the crowd a big welcome "I love Manchester!" I cant actually remember the order of all the songs in the show, so ill go straight to the Sk8er Boi performance, which i think came third in line with the set. Avril got everyone up and moving as the Sk8er Boi intro was taking part, once people knew what it was, the stage setting changed, the red cross sheet fell and behing it, was the original star represtenting the Let Go album, all sounded good on this one, she could still catch her breath while walsing and jumping about on stage whilst singing at the same time, performance was all good, so was the sound. As the song ended, she told the crowd that she was tempted to have a go at a stage dive, the crowd screamed and kept shouting at the top of their voices, in the end though, she couldnt. After sk8er boi, i think she went into Who Knows. She sounded extremely well considering i havnt heard a live version of that yet since last night, was all good until she forgot the words on the second chorus lol! She still played well, but kept always walking over to the left hand side of the stage, she didnt really move around much on this one. The next few tracks she played was Anything But Ordinary, Losing Grip, My World, all sounded and performed good, also i noticed most of the time the stage setting kept changing, near enough every time she performed a new song, new pictures and signed were displayed on the setting. She performed all four very well, considerin she had already practiced them few tracks atleast a few 200, 000 times! And also, as she introduced My World 2 silver flags of Avrils silouette, dropped down from the ceiling, looked quite cool. After them, all the lightes dimmed whilst the stage staff carried a black, grand piano onto the stage. For this particular song the stage was set different yet again. She took her seat at the piano, whilst was being surrounded by purple candles. Looked really good, she didnt even need to start playin for me to know what she was gonna perform. She started to play Together, this one got people screaming. She made no mistakes on the piano, or on the vocals, all sounded great, the band sounded great, was all really good. Next track, and this track was performed well as this is the track i disliked the most on the new album, Forgotten, it actually sounded pretty amazin, sounds so much better live then recorded. I give that one a 10/10, she wasnt one note outta place. Other songs performed well were Freak Out, Unwanted, I'm With You. She did really well with I'm With You, considering it has so many high notes, she did it really well, Freak Out sounds a lot better then when she first started performing that, Unwanted sounded pretty much the same, nothin special about that one. Again she went to the left hand side of the stage with an acoustic guitar, and performed Fall To Peices and Nobody's Home. Both performed great, they come seconds after dont Don't Tell Me overall. But more importantly, i thought the highlight of the night was Don't Tell Me, she did best at that i think, she got the crowds arms in the air, was really amazin, i couldnt stop smiling. After Unwanted, she went off stage, and came back on with the encore. Obviously, it was complicated, this time she didnt ask for any volunteers, but i prefer it that way, cause its most people's favorite and usually the volunteers sorta ruin it lol. When everone thought it was over, the piano was carried back onto the stage for the tragic song about her dead granpa, was sad but movin, she did really well. Over all the concert was the best concert i had ever been to, it was amazin 10/10
