I saw Avril at the Continental Airlines arenalast night. I waited in line for about 8 hours and got front row for the third time! Butch came out and got everyone pumped up. I think people really underestimate how good he is. Every time I've seen him this tour, he's got the audience totally pumped for when Avril came out. So he played for about 45 minutes. In the intermission, Av's 2 camera guys (Todd and Tommy) and her bodyguard came over and talked to me because they recognized me from Philly and Cleveland. They're really cool guys. Todd got me her set list and a Craig guitar pick since it was my last show for this tour. Then Avie came out around 8:50 looking super cute as usual (I got pictures but have to get them developed). She did a kickass version of He Wasn't to open the show - her opening is enough to get you psyched for the rest of the show. Charlie recoginzed me from Cleveland (we had spoken for a few minutes after the show) and he looked down at me and I put up my arm and did a little rock on thing and so he did it back lol it was cool. Here's the set list:
He Wasn't
My Happy Ending
Take Me Away (freakin awesome)
Freak Out
Sk8er Boi
Anything But Ordinary
Who Knows
I'm With You
Naked
Losing Grip (kickass)

Forgotten (piano)
Tomorrow (acoustic)
Nobody's Home (acoustic w/band joining in)
Mobile
Don't Tell Me
Unwanted
Encores:
Song #2 cover (Av on drums, Butch vocals)
Complicated
Slipped Away (piano)
It was a great show for her, they got her out quickly because she had to be at GMA at 5 am. We waited outside anyway, and the asshole security guard was all tellin us, "She's gone" and I said, "well the band has to come out, the buses are still there." He kept telling us he'd tell them not to sign so he could go home. Well wouldn't you know, out came Charlie and he saw me and he's like "Hey, I have to run to the bus but I'll be right over!" So he started over and the security guy tried to cut him off and tell him not to come over and Charlie walked around him and came over to me and shook my hand and was like, "Hey buddy, how are ya?" so I felt pretty special lol. He hung out and signed for a few then the van pulled up w/the rest of the band and Avril in it.
Pretty good show, but sad because it's the last show I'll get to go to on the tour. I did go to GMA this morning though, too (you might've seen me on TV!). I'll post pictures when I get them developed!
