So I know this won't top Desra's review since she actually got to meet avril, but whatever the concert was so awesome I'm still pumped 2 days later and wanna write about it. Ok... so I've definatly had my tickets since like July or so since the first 5 minutes they were on sale, so it's been a long time coming. I talked to desra all summer about it, and then when she got in town on sunday i talked to her again, she's such an avril crazy. Anyways, so I had to go to church on Sunday morning (the day of the concert) but went straight downtown after.. so I got there at 12:30, and my friend Zach and I set up our chairs to wait in line behind about 15 people. Zach and I passed the time away doing stupid stuff, then I finally saw Desra and talked to her for a while. At about 3 or so, the Pepsi center staff came outside and said that they were gonna open all the doors, not just the one we were behind at 6:00 - so everyone made a made run to the doors, so there was no point in having waited in line because all these fuckers got in front of me and zach at the other doors. But, oh well. So later my friends Gina and Luke came and joined us in line. They let us in at 6.. but they opened the doors the wrong direction, so the people who had gotten there at like 5 got in first while the people who'd been waiting since 7:30 got in last, so that sucked, but oh well. We ran in and got some of the last few spots up front. I saw that Desra managed her way up to front center somehow. Butch walker performed up first with American Hi-fi.. he's really phenomenal he's got a great voice... and sound.. but his songs kinda suck - ... the they dropped the curtain - and the arena went dark and avril started playing the opening to "he wasn't".. and her shadow came up.. then when the rest of the band comes in the curtain dropped and the crowd went crazy.. She went on and did my happy ending... and a ton of other songs... though she left out "my world" "slipped away" "how does it feel" "nobody's fool" "things I'll never say" and "too much to ask" But the concert was so awesome. I don't know why she doesn't performe well on tv, but in concert, she is so damn talented.. when she did tomorrow on the side stage with just her on accoustic guitar.. OH MY GOD.. she's so awesome.. my favorite songs are "losing grip" and "together" which were both awesome and hardcore which i love .. oh and her piano skills are awesome which is cool to see, and, she played the drums on one song with butch and the guys (matt, the drummer went to guitar) and they covered some song i don't know the name - um, ya she ended with "complicated" and i was hoping for slipped away.. but it was awesome nonetheless... she definatly been down and sang to me on complicated cuz i knew all the words to her other songs... and i pointed at her when she came by - i love her so much - I got a set list after the show too - so that's so great... it was just such an awesome concert - everyone needs to go see her on this tour - it's 10x better than the first - which was damn good.. i hope there's a dvd for this one too.. I have some great pictures i'll try to get on the site soon and i have some video clips which i'll try to get on the site soon... AVRIL ROCKS!!! thanks for reading
