I went to the gig yesterday & ive only got 1 word to say 'WOW'
I was a Avril virgin....it was my 1st time seeing her, after following her since pretty much the beginning, so this was a big deal for me!!
Arrived at the arena at 10:30am to start queuing. There was only about 5 of us there & it was soooooo cold! I didnt think i was gonna be able to stand it, but i managed (just!) & it was so worth the 6/7hr wait!!
Doors opened at 6:30 & we rushed in & got right at the front, by the barriers, fairly central too!!
Went to take a photo & my film pooed up & couldnt take any pics of Avril :-( But when i mentioned it to Amy, she kindly gave me a film, which saved my life & if your reading, i thank you so so so so so much! Ill repay you dont worry!!!
Simple Plan were wicked, really enjoyed their set!
Ive gotta say though, that the concert shouldve been seated or Cardiff shoulda put an age restriction on standing tickets cos there were so many little kids getting squashed & i myself saw about 6 people being lifted over the barriers who had collapsed through pure exhaustion (1 was before Simple Plan had even come on!) & there must have been 20-30 people who were asking to be lifted out as they were so hot & squashed!!! It was mad!!
Avril came on & she was everything i had hoped for. Pure brilliance. Her voice was outstanding & the band were wicked. Every song was brilliant......it went too quick. She said that she had been having difficulty saying Cardiff (bless her!) Shes so tiny in real life (even with those big sparkly shoes on!) & for all those who say shes moody, she certinaly wasnt that last night, she was smiles all over!!!
Can i just say a massive hello to the guys who i met outside the arena yesterday, you made the day go quicker!! Amy, Rob, Toby (and gf!), the 2 twins (not sure of your names!) Josh (and gf/friend) from Bristol & the young lad & father from Surrey!!!
