For sure, as many people said, I wouldn't be disappointed with the show. The long wait in all the lines were totally worth it.
So my Mom dropped my friend and me off at the Pacific Coliseum, and I was positive that the line for general admission was down around at the other side of the building, so we ran around the building trying to find a huge line for general admission. Then we ended up right where we started, so I was like how bout we just ask someone. So I spottes a bandaider and was all, is this for GA? and she was like yeah it is (btw thanks!! hehe I'm kinda shy lol) so we git in line and stood there in the dark and rain. At least we were under the undercover thingy or esle we would've been SO wet. and that for sure wouldn't've been fun. So, aside from looking inside the doors and watching people put up the merch, we were holding our breaths and trying not to inhale all the smoke around us. BLEH! After what seemed like forever, the doors finally came open, and people started screaming and pushing. There were people beside us that were making a strong attemt to push in front of us. Thankfully they didn't get in front of us. So we went in, and they had to search us, and thebn there was a mad scramble running down the stairs to get to the ground level. There were to ways to get down, but they bocked off one way and I almost went down the wrong way! LMAO! So my friend and I got our wristbands and dashed into the arena, and I was SO surprised to see that it wasn't totally full already. At first we sat in the middle, but then I saw that nobody had taken spots at the left on the floor. So we moved over there and we started chatting with this woman and her really nice kid, and I asked her if we could squeeze up with them once the show started! They were totally nice and let us! I was like OMG WOW I am front row!! I couldn't believe it!!
Butch Walker was sooo funny. He kept cracking jokes and apologizing for being from America and about George Bush and stuff like that. He was definitely a real character. It helped that he was hot too. lol. We had us pump our fists and he was like "Whoever doesn't do that it a total moron".
Avril.....
well it seemed to take forever until the lights dropped and Avril came on stage. But. personnally I find that part of the concert the best. Because everyone's really excited and anxious and it's like wow I can't believe it's gonna start soon!! And the lights could drop any time soon. When the lights finally dropped everyone started screaming and you could see her silhouette behind the huge banner. She was just rocking out He Wasn't and then the banner dropped, and everyone screamed and went crazy. She was wearing a black tank top, olive green tripp Pants a studded belt and devil horns. She took the horns off for some songs though. For one thing I noticed about Avril's performance: She definitely rocks out a lot more. It's so awesome. She had these little stool like things on the stage that she'd stand on. It was really cool. Then there were these little ramps that she'd run up so she could sing to the people sitting in the balcony. I loved all of the show, but in particular I really really liked I'm With You, lol she was like I want everyone who doesn't have a glow stick to get their cell phone out! and then after a couple of moments she was like, Please! I'm With you is one of my favourite songs off of let go. Her voice sounded really nice too. Tommorrow: She sat with her acoustic guitar on the ramp, and wow that song really shows how much her voice has grown. I saw her brother Matt standing by the stage and he looked like he was in a daze during that song. ah good times. Unwanted: She was totally rocking out. I totally love that song. Except I had to look away at the end of the song because they were flashing strobe lights and they really hurt my eyes. Forgotten" Omg I LOVE that song. It seemed as though she really put a lot of energy into it and it made it soo awesome. Avril is pretyy good on piano. She is a mulit talented girl. When She played the songs on the piano a little chandalier came down from the ceiling. It was really cool, and made sense too, because in TOgether there's a line "When I turn the lights out, when I close my eyes", and the venue was really dark too. So I thought that was neat.
There were so many cool lil things bout the concert. Just the fact that her voice has grown so much, and that there's so much more rocking happening. I noticed that Charlie doesn't seem to be so shy on stage which was awesome. I don't know if you guys ever oticed but he always seemed to be kinda shy. Craig seemed to be pretty friendly, lol he was looking down at the crowd most of the time. it was cool. Matty...lol well he was hot as usal. I couldn't really see Devin...he was on the other side of the stage. Avril was pretty bouncy and friendly...she didn't do much talking to the audience. ahaha any talking that she *did* do to the audience I totally forget.
When she came back out to do an encore she played the drums and Butch did the lead vocals. It was really awesome. I didn't know she was that good on drums. It looked really funni with her behind the drumset wearing the devil horns.
I was almost feeling a bit disappointed that she hadn't done Slipped Away, but then what do you know? the piano comes out and the next think I know she's sitting at it and the beautiful words of Slipped Away are flowing out of her mouth. I was so happy, because almost like everyone else I love that song. It really would've been too bad if she hadn't. Then I thought she was done, and I was like ok gotta go out and try and meet her, and the opening notes of Complicated rang out around the arena. I couldn't believe I forgot about Complicated! Near the end of the song teh camera man put his camera on the crowd and I was on the big screen! I was like omg that's me! It was crazy. I don't think anyone wanted the show to be over. But avril finished it off by giving three bows and waving to the crowd before she ran off stage.
My friend and I ran out of the arena with the girl and her mom so we could head out to the parking lot to where the buses were in attempt to meet Avril. I think we waited out there for two and a half hours. I remember thinking at one point, she's not coming out. I'm not going to meet her. Thankfully, my friend is very upbeat and can see the positive side of everything and kept me very hopeful. The crowd thinned out a lot, and by the time that we knew that she was coming my mom came, and told us that the securiy guard had told her that Avri would be gettin into the bus parked behind the tour bus closer to the venue (that made NO sense I know). So I kinda lingered by the other tour bus while my friend waited in line, and eventually I hopped in line with her and just in time I tell ya. omg Avril was so sweet and nice! I told her that her show rocked and she was all "thank you" and then she gave m an autograph. I truly couln't believe it. I had so much luck that day....it was above and beyone what I had imagined.
