Hey all! I never post anyting but i went to the San Antonio Concert and i decided to post. Anyways, here's my review.
The show was on tuesday and it started at 7:00. The doors opened at 5:30. I got there at 4:00 and one thing that annoyed me was that when the line was very long, it was about 5:00, they made another line.. so some people who got there later got in sooner than i did. But it was all ok because i got a very good spot There weren't much people, and they were still selling tickets right before the show started. It would have been a lot better if the concert would have been in a smaller place. I think the organization was bad, but that's ok.
At 7:00 Butch Walker began and he was great, he sang about 6 songs for 45 minutes, almost nobody knew him, and i think i was the only one singing his songs, lol. But I think a lot of people liked him. He's a great guitarrist, i love him!
After that, 30 minutes passed and then He Wasn't started. The show was great. Avril had so much energy, and she sang perfectly all of the songs, my favorite was Take me Away.
The concert was going great, she was singing the usual songs, but then the show ended early and that was a huge surprise!
She did not sing the new single. I was really looking foward to Nobody's Home, since it's my favorite song, and at first nobody new if the show had really ended cause i'm sure a lot of people knew she was supposed to sing more songs. It had only been one hour since the show started, so it was very short. But then they turned on the lights and everyone was disapointed. The worst thing was that there were no acoustic songs, and no Tomorrow or Slipped Away
The UMS songs she sang were: Take me Away, Together, Don't Tell me, He Wasn't, My Happy Ending, Forgotten, Who Knows, and Freak Out. And of Let Go she sang: Losing Grip, Complicated, Sk8er Boi, I'm With You, Unwanted, Anything But Ordinary and Naked. And also Song 2 on the drums. I don't remember the order of the songs, but i know complicated was the last one.
I think the best part of the show was the emotion she had when she sang every song, even the band had a lot of energy. I now love Craig!!. And Charlie was so great, because if you screamed his name he would look at you and smile! So I think this concert was 100 times better than 'Try to Shut me up".. if only it had been longer!
I don't know why they cut short the show, but after it i asked a guy who worked there and he said that Avril was having a dinner with some people and that she was not coming out to sing autographs. I would have been really depressed if i hadn't gotten a pick, but a security guy gave me one But the show was so awesome that i don't care anymore because i know i'll see her next time and i'm sure she'll sing Nobody's Home.
i took some pics but i'll post them later because i don't have them on my computer yet.
