ok so the day started at 8am on thursday, october 28. britt and i got up and got dressed before exploring downtown atlanta a bit which made us stumble upon the arena where the show was at by about 9:30am. we asked about 10 security guards where the general admission people would have to be and finally after we got a milliond different answers we found it but were kicked out by another security guard that told us where we were had nothing to do with the concert! so we walked back to the hotel and got changed and then came back and when we did another security person was leading a group of hot topic wearing children towards us and she asked if we were waiting for the concert. we got stuck with these kids who annoyed the shit out of us for the rest of the day but we also met this really cool girl that had been waiting at the wrong entrance since 6:30am and if you watch the avril dvd she is the girl that got to go on stage during complicated and air guitared with evan!

skipping forward about 8 hours of us standing in line and an inside joke about a cd player/bomb, that no one would understand but me, brittany, and the girls in line, thefinally started opening the doors to let us inside. the fucking assholes then opened a second door so people who had only been waiting for like two hours started running in and long story short they are fucking lucky we still got front row. oh yeah i snuck my camera in too. anyway then we wait for an hour against the railing for the show to start and there is a gay guy next to me and normally i would have liked him but he was pushing me and being annoying and he didn't know anyting about avril so therefor he needed to go to hell. finally butch walker came on at 7:30 and all i can really say is oh my god that man can perform really fucking well. he made fun of ashlee simpson which was so hilarious and said how both he and avril don't care how bad they were singing that day they'd rather sing horribly and know it came from the heart than sing a backup tape so people would think they could sing well i don' tknow it was fucking hilarious. he also immitated her by like starting to sing and then he pulled away the mic and mouthed the song before turning around and pretending to yell at his band "YOU GUYS PUSHED THE WRONG BUTTON" it was great. ugh after his set you could meet him but we couldn't leave our front row spot

so we waited like 45 minutes and finally av came on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they said no cameras but john her head security gaurd was there and he let us take some so that was good. also while she was playing her brother was walking around and i was like MATT and he looked over like "....why the fuck do you know my name" then i gave him the \m/ sign and he waved and said hi and i don't know it was kind of cool. i took a picture of him but it turned out like shit. the entire show was so so so so so amazing. she did so many little things that im used to seeing on video or on tv that was just adorable to see live. my favorite part of the entire thing though was when she got on the drums, matt got on guitar, and butch sang for that blur song. it was just a really really really really good performance i don't know everyone in the crowd was going nuts. every song she did though was really good, she sounds so fucking good live but i already knew this. a lot of people were saying how they wished evan was there but devin seemed cool. avril did a lot of cute things during the show that i don't feel like updating about because it would take too long but after the show we found some guy selling avril concert shirts for only $10 so we bought them since the line at the show for the merch table was so fucking long it would have taken years to get there and everything good would have been sold out.

ok this is long enough i hope you got the gist of it, here's a recap though we waited online from 9:30am until 7:30 for the show to start and then stood another 2 hours for the show so basically we stood for 12 hours for one of the best shows i've ever seen. it was fucking amazing. i can't say it was better or worse than mall tour because hello i met her and like so many other great things happened at that one but im just glad i now have two totally different amazing avril experiences.
