April 13th - Fiesta Mall

The Phoenix show just rocked. Lilstar (Rach) and I got to the mall around 7am. There were two lines setup with signs that said, “Avril line forms here.” One upstairs and one down stairs. We get in the line downstairs and wait. I saw the kid that was onstage with me in Phoenix later in the day so I let him in line with us. Devin (another bandaid and backbone kid) met us there too. I just have to say. I HATE PARENTS! Fuck dude those kids need to like get a new idol and leave mine alone :P So we’re standing in line and this hugely obese woman comes up to us and says, “I’ll give you $10 to let my kids in line with you.” Okay, I took a vacation day from work to go to the concert and I was getting paid to stand there for 10 hours. I was gonna make about $10 for standing there 30 minutes. So I tell the lady, “We’ve been here since 7am, no sorry.” She goes, “Well how much will it take.” I say, “Well, I only had about three hours of sleep last night…if you can give me back some sleep time I’ll let you in.” She gets all huffy and says, “Well, those $10 are gonna sound real nice when my kids are in front you.” Then she walks away. I’m like whatever lady. When we’re finally let in she was way in the back hahah. So, they let us in around 1:30 and I took the “Avril line forms here” sign with me, (It’s just a piece of paper that someone typed in Word) but it was still cool. We get in and we’re front and center. (of course) So, all the kids in the pit were told to sit down since we had a while. I taped my cool Avril sign to the barricade so it wouldn’t get messed up. Not 15 minutes later this fat old Dad was asking the security guard for the sign that I GOT! The guy told him no, and I was looking over at him. He goes, “I want that sign!” and I go, “Well it’s mine I was here since 7!” Then he says all knowingly, “Well, you didn’t ask for it.” I’m like, “Whatever,” and my friend Devin yells, “It’s called Microsoft Word, dude” It was pretty funny. I hate parents.
Speaking of parents, there were so many freakin little kids in the pit. They were so annoying the ENTIRE TIME! We were all completely smashed in there and the little kids were whining and about 7 of them got pulled out that I saw. The last one that got pulled was there up until 30 minutes before Avril came out. STUPID PARENTS! Anyway, so Avril and Evan show up about 5:05. Avril’s wearing this kick ass shirt that says, “Nice Rack.” Joe (her old security guard) showed up about 5 minutes before she did. It’s good that he’s with her..he’s really cool. So they sing the first song, and right at the end Avril points to me and goes, “You. You are front row at EVERY show…” She said something else but it was hard to hear. Then she goes, “Evan, look who it is!” and Evan goes, “I know!” and gives me a huge smile. They keep singing and at one point Avril drops her pick in the middle of the song and Rach, the stage boy, me and Devin all laughed, and then she laughed. It was so funny. She didn’t seem really focused on the music but she seemed so happy and was all smiley and laughing. During sk8erboi Rach and I started jumping up and down and Avril smiled at us, and then during complicated I made a face and was like swaying back and forth with Rach and again Avril smiled at us. It was such an awesome day. There were at least 6000 people there and the mall was small. I don’t think she came out to sign a whole lot because there were so many people, supposedly she came out for a little bit to sign, but I had to drive back to Tucson so I left. It was a great day!
