I got to the mall at around 10:15, and I searched around and I found the stage, and the line behind it. I bought a smoothie and went and waited. I saw Desra in the line in front of me, and she came over and spoke to me. Then, the man from the jewlers' shop came and said 'Avril's on Alice (Radio show)!'. So we ran into his shop and Avril was speaking about Chantal and the new record, and then she sang Dont Tell Me. We were sooo psyched. We went back to the line (I got in with Desra :-)) and we socialized and then at 1:30 they let us in the stage area. There was confusion about where we were supposed to go in, so Desra and I ended up getting in the area first, at EXACLTY front centre. So we waited and waited, and they played the Sessions@AOL videos (only Dont Tell Me, Knockin on Heavens Door and Sk8er Boi). Avril was supposed to come out at 4:30 and at 4:15, some guy came out and announced the rules and that some kid was lost. An eternity later, Avril came out and it was SOOO fucking aweome cause we were 5 feet away from her. She did He Wasn't, and I went HEY HEY during it and she looked and smiled. Then she did My Happy Ending and we were singing with that as well and she looked at us and smiled TONS. then she did Sk8er Boi, it was cool. Don't Tell Me was ok, she sang it well and everything, but it was hard to hear cause it was the song that everybody knows. Then Take Me Away, where Desra and I were trying to get Evan's attention, it was awesome, and at the end, Desra shouted some... obsene things to grab Evans attention and HELL YEAH it did. got an awesome picture of him looking at us. After, she said "Ok, everybody should know this song'' and Im thinking 'why should everyone know Nobody's Home?' but she started singing Complicated, and when she was done with it, she left! No Nobody's Home! So I ran like shit to the garage to meet her, and I saw her and Evan getting in this car, and she smiled at us, and so did he, and they were gone (they were apparantly flying to Texas). Meh. I was upset, but it was still a freaking awesome show. That was my Avril adventure. I have some awesome pictures but I left my camera cable at home, so I'll send them in on Monday. :-) Nicky (nickynike)
