That's not a bad idea. I guess it's always worth a try.

We keep seeing this again and again in print and online. TV isn't usually quite as bad, at least if you focus on the talk shows and the better entertainment news shows. Sometimes it seems like some "journalists" are on a vendetta or something. I acknowledge that they're entitled to their opinion, but it's really a shame that it's such a public and widespread one. They have very loud voices with lots of distribution channels.

The official and fan websites are probably the best tools we have to make our voices heard publicly to combat the negativity, short of writing letters to people who probably won't read them, so I wrote my own review of the Vancouver concert. Read it here...

^ I already wrote a letter to the editor of the Globeandmail.com about the article titled “She’s like so whatever”, by marsha lederman, (Victoria, concert review), over the fact that marsha lederman flat out stated that Avril can’t sing, etc. In essence I asked the Globe how they could send someone to review a concert that does not even like Avril, and questioned them about having any journalistic integrity, and why would they let marsha lederman get away with it, etc., etc, etc. I told them I would be putting marsha lederman on a list people of who not to trust, and that I would be spreading the word about her lack of integrity, etc., etc, etc… Of course I was very articulate and careful to not be too over the top, yet still get the message across. It may will fall on deaf ears, but at least I tried, lol.

I think it's great that you tried!!!

Hopefully you receive a useful response. I really don't think it's asking too much to send someone to her concerts who likes her music!

They send people who don't like her because they know they'll get an article that trashes her, and that kind of shit sells. Most people would rather read a negative article over a positive one, especially when it comes to Avril.


My proof lies with Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse...
