And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
Snowflakes Falling from heaven,
Drifting in the air,
Then slowly disolving into the ground,
The delicate snowflakes, everywhere.
Shivers up my spine,
My hands as dry as bone,
And turning pale purple,
But excitment warms me up.
One single snowflake,
Like a tiny star,
Lands in my hand,
And melts into it.
The Cat
Slowly crawling through the grass,
Every muscle coiled up like a spring,
Beady green eyes concentrating,
And when she’s ready, she dashes off.
Little legs running at lightening speed,
Muscular body with power,
Determined for her pray,
And when she’s ready, JUMP!
Death
Suck in a black hole,
Nothing; but pain and torture,
All trapped around me.
Twilight Poems
Vampire
(Bella’s POV)
Laying there perfectly still in the grass,
A thousand diamonds sparkle off his skin,
I trace his marble skin with my fingertips-hard, but smooth,
His glowing, golden eyes gaze at me,
Only one word to describe him-beautiful.
Needs
(Edward’s POV)
It’s her; I need to consume her,
Her irritable smell; a drug,
The centre of my life,
I should turn around; but it’s far too late,
What is Wrong with me?
Heart Found
When the world is on top of me,
Crushing me down,
Everything against me,
When one else cares,
I, all alone,
Tears spilling out,
Just one look at your face,
It all fades away.
My heart begins to sing,
Happiness in the air,
Fearless am I.
My heart is back together,
We will never part again,
Together,
Nothing else matters,
Forever shall this last.
Pop Star Smile on face,
Excitement inside,
She runs to the stage,
And sings with pride.
Porphyria’s Lover (version 2)
(Inspired by Robert Browning’s Poem)
Rain teeming down all night,
Gales fighting too,
Carrying all from its path.
I open the door with a creek,
Into the cottage of darkness,
And hunched in the corner, sits him.
I pull off m hat and let my hair fall,
Untie my shawl and reveal my dress,
Lay down m lace gloves,
And slowly walk to him.
I sit beside him, my heart beating fast,
I call him. No voice replied,
I take his arm and place it around my waist
And smoothed my shoulder bare,
And let his cheek lay there,
Let my yellow hair spread,
‘I love you,’ I breathe, ‘I love you,’ I repeat,
Giving myself to him-forever,
He smiles back full of passion,
I worship him- he’s mine forever,
My heart must swell to hold this love,
This moment is ours to share-forever.
But that is when it all happened,
His frozen fingers take one strand of my hair,
And wound it three times around my throat,
And all went black,
Nothing more I felt.
Island Home
Sun blazing down all day,
Sky so crystal clear,
Scotching sand beneath my feet,
And waves flow calmly in the distance,
The most important place to me: my island home!
Love Battle
I search through fighting gales,
And non-stop teeming rain,
I run through vines clutching my legs,
As tight as a pair of leggings,
Only one thing I what to see: his face, so perfect.
Excitement doesn’t stop,
Builds up, higher than Mont Everest,
My heart rising out of my cheat,
Closer and closer every second,
It’s him, him I need.
Finally, it’s time, to bring my heart together,
I open the door; remove my wet, shaggy shawl,
Untie my ruined boots,
Try to die my muddy hair,
And there, sits him.
His dazzling blue eyes lay gaze at me,
His golden hair shines like the sun, parting neatly,
A smile appears on his face of perfection,
Sitting there so, in his royal armchair, beautiful,
And opens his arms, for me.
Our bodies locked tight together,
Arms placed around each other,
Our eyes never leave each others,
And kisses full of love,
My heart swells to hold all this,
A fairy tale,
The prince and the princess,
The happily ever after,
Let this moment be ours to share,
Forever.
But somehow, this can’t last,
He needs to move on,
Go and get what he really wants
His royal throne, the castle,
Not me.
So then, a ran away
Into a dark forest,
Where no one dare goes,
To hide myself for ever,
And that was the last of me.
