 We have heard Avril declare that when she goes to a party, she is the party, and don't you think this picture demonstrates it well? When you can't walk in your pumps and make your friend carry them while you hop on your other friend's back, you know you're hardcore. Don't try this at home!

 The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada has held it's 19th annual awards gala yesterday and our Avril was among the winners! Avril has been recognized three times with her songs "Girlfriend", "When You're Gone" and "Keep Holding On" in the pop music category for having the most plays on Canadian radio in 2007. Yes, another picture loved by Bandaids Members'! For today you guys picked a picture out of the Blender Photoshoot from 2004. In this photoshoot Avril posed in a playful way, also the use of light made this photoshoot different from others. It's really hard to pick just one favorite picture out of it, I'm glad it's not my task to do that. Luckily we have lots of amazing members who voted this picture as POTD Members' Choice.

Today's Picture of the Day is of Avril and her band performing at Sympatico, The Orange Lounge, Toronto! On the 18 June 2007, Avril treated fans to a live acoustic performance from her (then) new album, The Best Damn Thing! Avril selected four songs: Girlfriend, When You're Gone, Everything Back but You and Hot. Avril and her band had lot of fun with the session, even playing and dancing with mics despite the small space! Great songs and a great session = The Best Damn Thing!

Avril Lavigne and a skateboard. That's the perfect combination. Throw in a swimming pool and it only gets better. In the following picture, taken from a Fashion Rocks photoshoot done last year, Avril can be seen resting by the poolside with her skateboard and a, rather cute, helmet. I simply love the expression on Avril's face. Maybe she is concerned about skateboarding with those heels? Who knows?

 Our Media Team has been very busy updating our Galleries and here's a summary of the new stuff we've got! First of all, we have 2 pictures of Avril leaving the Il Sole Restaurant on November 12, then we have Untagged HQ pictures from Q Magazine here and here.Also, do you remember Avril's Photoshoot from Ford Models? We have them in HQ and untagged as well! And here's an unseen picture of Avril holding the torch of Word Harmony Run and, to end this update in nostalgia, a brand new album containing Avril's concert in Kansas, back in 2003. Heh... heh... get the title? You know you love butt jokes as much as we do. This blogger was actually trying to come up with a way to make a pun about hands congregating around the buttocks area... but she honestly can't think of anything. Anyway, back on October 15 2005, Avril and Deryck were literally mobbed by paparazzi at Koi. The lovely couple was very touchy feely that night and were snapped holding hands directly above Deryck's ass... as he held a lunch box in his hand... Heh. Frankly, we've watched the video and we have no idea what Avril's doing. It looks like she was going to kiss Deryck's cheek... but she definitely didn't. Any helpful hints, Bandaiders?

We have seen how impressed he was with Avril's vocal abilities on The Making of The Best Damn Thing and he recently talked about it in an interview. "It was a great process. [...] she likes to come in and make her comments, and then let you work on it so that she can stay fresh. [...]. She sings very fast, pretty much in the pocket, right off the bat." That's our Avril!
